Sublime prose Caleb, just wonderful stuff. I drink it in like fine wine.

Does that mean misery beomes my pleasure? Maybe, but not a vulgar pleasure to be snaffled down like a quarter pounder though, rather a bittersweet truffle of sour delight made of bitter herbs and rotting though delicious substances.

Thanks, Murphy. I like that description, misery can be a pungent, earthy pleasure, an acquired taste

I suffer from insomnia if I don't watch my caffeine intake. You just described what I go through, albeit in way more poetic form than I'm capable over when I feel like "a lesser pharaoh."

Sublime stuff, Caleb.

I wish it were solely a matter of caffeine. What I have is a little more perplexing, but what does Nietzsche say, something about what doesn’t kill you makes you want to die

"if not a prescription for insanity"

"Resisting madness can be the maddest way of being mad"

Homeless folks are such a type that can create meaning alone, see how they are capable of speaking some truths (sometimes poetically) and of seeing through the veil, at the cost of their madness and total loss & doom obviously.

It’s a good point, the homeless are better poised to create meaning than most
